Bradley Burbridge completes the team line up for 2009
www.cyclingbargains.com - Infinis Racing Team have today announced 16 year old Junior rider Bradley Burbridge will ride for them from 1st January 2009.
Moving from Youth to Junior category for 2009 the Kettering based rider will be mentored by other local team riders Ben Jeeves, David Palmer and Mike Cowland as he starts to race on open roads for the first time.
As a Youth rider Bradley was ranked in the top 20 for both road racing and cyclo-cross disciplines. He has also enjoyed wins at time trial and mountain bike disciplines and competed at a national level where he achieving good results on closed road circuits.
Bradley's initial aims with the team will be to complete the cyclo-cross season with a good ride in the National Championships at Bradford next month before concentrating on some of the local road races in the spring to develop his skills in big bunches. He will be also looking to ride some of the National Junior Road Race Series events and some of town centre crits.
Bradley's first race in the new team colours will be on New year's day at Giffydam in Leicestershire for the Coalville Wheelers Hangover Cross.
Bradley said, "I have already been training with most of the squad this winter and am looking forward to a busy 2009 with the team."
Team Manager, Rod Freeman said, "We are delighted to welcome Brad into the squad. Since the team started in 2006 we have only had senior riders on board but Brad takes the team into a new dimension. Brad will play a key part in the team's development with his first road racing being at the NCRA series in March."
