Dyson returns to time trialling with a win
In one of the last evening club events of the season Carl Dyson, riding for cyclingbargains.com - Infinis racing ream secured his 3rd win of the year in the Rockingham Forest 10 mile time trail.
Dyson improved his time of the previous week to claim 1st place overall in 23m 22s in front of Ryan Henry in 23.43. Dyson chose to use his latest low profile machine to claim victory but was using the event in preparation for the longer 50m time trial he faces next weekend in Cheshire. One of the teams sponsors, Catlike helmets have provided a new 2009 model of Chrono aero helmet to Dyson for the event in the cyclingbargains.com - Infinis team colours.

The following evening it was the turn of the latest recruit to cyclingbargains.com - Infinis racing team Andy Swain to provide the results at the Milton Keynes Bowl. The circuit race incorporated a rough, off road section on each lap but this cause a number of punctures including 3 for the in form Swain. Returning to the break after each of the first two punctures it was with just 3 laps to go that Swain punctured again but this the race was too near its conclusion for him to change a wheel so he sprinted to 5th place on his rim. Swain is in good form as his now prepares for further road racing activity in Cheshire this weekend and the Peterborough Road Race at Sawtry the first week of September.
This weekend saw cyclingbargains.com - Infinis racing team in action in the wet Rockingham Forest 100 mile sportive with Dyson joined by fellow 2nd category team mates Mike Cowland and Dave Palmer. Both Cowland and Palmer had suffered earlier in the season with viruses and have shown good form in the later stages of the season. Commenting on his current form Cowland said, "I can't believe its almost the end of the season, where has it all gone! I am really motivated for my winter training now and look forward to the new team line up for 2009.
