Ben Jeeves riding for www.cyclingbargains.com - Infinis - Metaltek Racing Team took his first win of the year on Tuesday night at Mallory Park when he sprinted clear of a small break at the bottom of the final hill after a series of foiled escapes throughout the race. Jeeves has had a series of top 10 places this year and recently followed Bradley Burbridge's route to the top with two third places prior to his first win. This latest result takes Jeeves to within 14 points of his 2nd category licence.
On Monday Bradley Burbridge yet again showed his bike skills riding a grass track event this time. He secured 5th in the National 800m championship and 2nd in the National Series 400m competitions. "In a week that sees the senior team travel to the south west for the next round of the Tour Series at Exeter it is great to see younger members of the team holding the fort in local races" said Team Manager Rod Freeman
On Sunday Raphael Deinhart and Will Fox rode the Kings of Wessex event. Although three riders broke clear Deinhart was unable to gain contact with the leaders despite coming within 10 seconds of the leaders, but it was Fox who took the highest team honours as the bunch sprinted for the line. Fox was given 9th place in the bunch and 12th place overall.
www.cyclingbargains.com - Infinis - Metaltek Racing Team will field Jason White, Raphael Deinhart, Will Fox, Rob Orr and Matt Fostun on Thursday in the the 2nd round of the Tour Series. The team hope to improve on last weeks 7th place and to see if White can grab another of the hot spot sprints. The race can be seen on ITV4 at 7pm on Friday.
