Mallory Park Circuit Race winning start as the team prepares for the Tour Series

East Midlands based Tour Series team www.cyclingbargains.com - Infinis-Metaltek Racing Team showed their circuit race training is starting to pay off with 1st, 3rd and 9th on Thursday evening in the opening round of the Mallory Race Series. Fresh from his 3rd place at the Archer Spring Road Race the weekend before Raphael Deinhart attacked just after the bell and rode away from a 12 man break to secure overall victory.

Team mates Will Fox and Daniel Booth also made the break. Sprinter Will Fox was narrowly beaten into 3rd place by junior George Atkins and Daniel Booth came home comfortably in the sprinting break in 9th place. Other team riders finished in the chasing bunch were Carl Dyson 17th, Matt Fostun 19th and Rob Orr 27th although almost half the field retired during the race due to the blistering pace of almost 29mph.

The race saw a number of breaks go clear during the 30 laps and at least one of the team had each break covered. After winning Deinhart said, "With Will and Dan in the break I knew I had to go for the lone attack and it paid off. I am really excited about the Tour Series and looking forward to pleasing the crowds across England throughout the five week competition."
