www.cyclingbargains.com - Infinis - Metaltek Racing Team Press Release 13.07.09

Results continue as we roll towards the final chapters of the season!

www.cyclingbargains.com - Infinis - Metaltek Racing Team scored 6th place on Sunday in the 78 mile North Road Cycling Club Road Race in Hertfordshire, when Raphael Deinhart sprinted home from a six man group. Sadly for Deinhart five riders had attacked earlier to secure the first five places and the race was won by French based Dave McLean. Deinhart was pleased to have secured 6th place by means of a sprint as he is usually at home on big climbs, having had climbing success this year in Premier Calendar events such as the Girvan stage race and the Beaumont Classic. This seasons Deinhart has won several circuit races from last moment attacks at the bell, a tactic that he employed on Thursday night at Mallory Park, but unfortunatly was caught by the main sprint, and had to settle for 3rd place.

The weekend started well for the team, when Jason White returned to his winning ways on Friday night by winning the Brands Hatch Southborough Classic. On Saturday it was the turn of the www.cyclingbargains.com - Infinis - Metaltek Racing Team's youngest rider Bradley Burbridge to shine at Biggleswade Grass Track Meeting, where he qualified for the 800m final and was delighted to secure third place overall.

Several of the team were resting this weekend after returning from the Ras de Cymru last week, where the team secured 4th place on GC. The team consisted of Will Fox, Mike Cowland, Dave Palmer and Carl Dyson, and won the team time trial stage and secured a number of top top places during the 6 stage, 5 day race in south Wales.

Will Fox, Jason White and James Cambridge are now looking forward to the National Criterium Championships at the end of the month.

Team Manager Rod Freeman said "We are now getting towards the end of the 2009 season, and in reality have less than ten weeks of racing left. Over the course of the next few weeks riders like Will Fox, Ben Jeeves and Matt Fostun will be concentrating on securing promotion to higher categories of racing for next year. We are also looking for two or three new riders to support our Tour Series and Premier Calendar teams for next year."
