Burbridge takes National Series and Fox makes promotion.

The Bank Holiday Weekend proved a decisive weekend for the www.cyclingbargains.com - Infinis - Metaltek Racing Team, showing there is plenty of results left in the team still for the closing weeks of the 2009 season.

Seventeen year old junior rider Bradley Burbridge from Kettering suffered a broken chain and rolling a tyre in the final round of the 800m Grass Track Series at Mildenhall, but had notched up enough points in earlier rounds to still secure the National Series Championship. Bradley said, "This was a series of hard races and its not been without problems so I am delighted to have secured the 2009 National 800m Grass Track Series Championship. I am off to the National Time Trial Championships next weekend and with my current form I am really looking forward to it."

Twenty year old Will Fox secured promotion to first category this weekend after a series of near misses over the last few weeks. Having seen team mate Raphael Deinhart ride into 4th place on Saturday, at Darley Moor, Fox was disappointed to have only moved one point nearer with his 15th place in the same race. On Monday he travelled to Hogg Hill where he was delighted to come 4th in the breakaway sprint to secure 6th place. The race was won by Alex Dowsett fresh from his win the previous week in the Premier Calendar Richmond Grand Prix. Dowsett sprinted cleat of James Millard whilst the remaining break of seven riders, including Fox chased hard. Will said, "This year has been awesome and I have thoroughly enjoyed it. The team has been a great place to develop my skills whilst riding with a really good bunch of guys. I just know next year is going to be bigger and better and I am really excited about being on board for next year."

Team Director, Rod Freeman said, "2009 was a development year for the team as we moved from Regional to National level. Having riders on board like Jason White, Bradley, Raph and Will who have been able to move up through the categories goes to show the progress we have made as a team. I am very proud of them. 2010 will be another interesting year as we begin to cement a much stronger team in place. We aim to be a lot stronger and a lot more competitive in a number of televised races next year. We have a number of elite riders lined up to join the team and now just need an additional sponsor to help take us to the next stage.
