Essex based Jason White riding for www.cyclingbargains.com - Infinis - Metaltek Racing Team rode the Butterfield Bermuda Grand Prix this weekend and secured second place overall in an international field.
Stage one in Bermuda on the Saturday saw the Morgan's Point elite Criterium won by Tom Barras after 31miles, but Jason White powered home in third place ahead of the bunch and just 5 seconds down on Barras.
The following day, stage 2 consisted of a 6 mile individual time trial at Southside, where Jason White was able to turn the tables on Barras to take the overall lead when he came home in second place in a time of 17.24 to Barras' 17.31.
With just a second separating the two British riders, Stage 3 later that afternoon was another elite Criterium over an hours racing in Hamilton. The stage was won by Barras, who outsprinted Jason White for the win, meaning that the General Classification was to be decided on points, which gave Barras the overall win of the Butterfield Bermuda Grand Prix, with the teams Jason White second.
