British Cycling: Cycling Bargains Racing Team News

Formed in 2006 Cycling Bargains Racing Team has capitalised on its first seasons success by signing three new riders for 2007. The team, formed by Rod Freeman consists of Dave Palmer, John Buxton, Jon Crookes, Ben Jeeves and Martin Booth.

For 2007 the team has now signed Harvey Levanne, Tim Dennis and Scott Choucino to strengthen its line up. Martin Booth moved up category during 2006 and had a fantastic Cyclo Cross season finishing third in the National Championships and fifth in the National series for his Vetran class. Commenting on the success of the team Rod Freeman said, "The team was set up to offer like minded riders the opportunity to compete together. The guys have done the sponsors proud and additional backers have come on board for 2007 which we are of course delighted about and look forward working with during the forthcoming season."

Rod, commenting on the 2007 season, said, "We are delighted with our new riders and what the team achieved last year. For 2007 we aim to increase our activity in time trails and MTB events whilst majoring on road events. We hope to announce a strong team for the Rockingham Forest two days stage race at Easter in the next few weeks."

Cyclingbargains.com is the team's main co-sponsor and provides cyclists with competitive cycle products via its online website, www.cyclingbargains.com. Local printers, Mainline Print Ltd is the other co sponsor. Primavera Leisure is a Spanish cycle training company and provided the team with a base for their 2006 training camp. Vuelta wheels provides the team with carbon fibre wheels. Cage Rocket is a US based company who provide the team with tool kit cases to fit into their bottle cages. MIDAS carbon frames provide the team with carbon fibre frames. Sundog eyewear provide the team with Madman X sunglasses.
