Dyson home alone in third place

www.cyclingbargains.com racing team star Carl Dyson continued his in form season with a third place in the Royal Sutton CC Road Race at Yoxhall on Sunday.

The 103km event saw Dyson in an early break within the first 15 km which was quickly caught, but Dyson had the strength to join another break on the second lap of 15 riders. The break secured a 2 minute lead before it split with Dyson joining Andy Eagers and Neil Jones until they were caught with 30km to go. In the closing lap of the race Eagers and Jones again broke clear with Jones taking the sprint from Eagers and Dyson attacking the remainder of the break with 8kms to go to secure third place. Team mate David Palmer came home in the main bunch as the rain began to fall again.

Dyson and Palmer now look forward to the Cicle Classic at Rutland in two weeks time.
