www.cyclingbargains.com Racing Team is pleased to announce Andy Swain from Rothley, Leicestershire will be joining the team from 1st June 2008.

Andy has ridden for local club Melton Olympic for the past 23 years and his first race in the team colours, subject to BC approval, will be next weekend in the East Midlands Regional Road Race Championships where he will assist team leader Carl Dyson in his bid for top place. Andy said, "I am delighted to be joining www.cyclingbargains.com racing team and have already enjoyed a couple of training rides with the team. Riding with highly motivated riders as one team unit is just what I am looking for."

www.cyclingbargains.com racing team will also be represented in the Central Regional Road Race Championships by David Palmer and Mike Cowland. Last year David Palmer from Kettering secured 3rd place in the supporting race whilst Mike Cowland, also from Kettering secured 13th place in the senior event.

Team Manager, Rod Freeman commented on Andy joining the team, "Andy has enjoyed several successes already this year both on the road and against the clock. We are delighted to welcome him on board and look forward to helping him develop in his racing. The divisional road race championships will be quite an eye opener for Andy, but good training for the next few races. In June Andy will ride the Rockingham Forest 2 day with Jon Crookes. Then in July Andy joins Carl Dyson, David Palmer and Mike Cowland for the 5 day (6 stage) Ras de Cymru in Wales."

Mike Cowland will lead www.cyclingbargains.com racing team for the NCRA summer series that starts on 3rd June and covers 6 races. Mike was overall series winner last year, but an early season crash and then a virus prevented Mike from contesting the spring series earlier this year. Mike said, "I don't think I can feature highly in the overall competition this year as Brett won the spring series and my team mate Carl Dyson crashing out on the last event, but finishing 2nd overall. However, I am still looking forward to getting up there for the summer series and hopefully bagging a win or two!" Mike will be joined by David Palmer, Rod Freeman and new signing Andy Swain for the summer series.
